Air Quality Services
At LEHDER we recognize our client’s need to make decisions that provide for operational flexibility while meeting regulatory, economic and social requirements.
All Air Quality Services are managed internally without outsourcing and partnering. Our core strength in Air Quality Management is demonstrated in the LEHDER Environmental Information Management Service (LEIMS). The LEHDER Emissions Testing Team is one of the largest and most experienced in Canada, recognized by Canadian and U.S. regulatory agencies.
Air Dispersion Modeling
Air Dispersion Modeling is often a requirement for attaining Environmental Compliance Approval and Air Permits. LEHDER offers extensive modeling expertise across a wide variety of sectors. Pro-active self-assessment is an area where LEHDER excels, allowing clients to identify potential problems and employ effective solution development.
A robust source and emission inventory is an integral part of a strategic approach to understanding emissions and the significance of those emissions. These inventories are used for applications for Environmental Compliance Approval, air dispersion modeling, NPRI, Ontario Regulation 127/01, TRI, NERM submissions and emission reduction programs.
Environmental Compliance Approval
In Ontario, most industrial facilities are required to have Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) granted by the Ontario Ministry of the Environment (MOE) in order to operate. If a business’s activities impact the natural environment, an ECA from the MOE is required to operate legally in Ontario.
Greenhouse Gas Emission Reporting
On December 1, 2009, the Ontario Ministry of Environment posted Ontario Regulation 452/09 - Greenhouse Gas Emission Reporting, a Regulation under the Environmental Protection Act. The purpose of the Regulation is to develop accurate and verified Greenhouse Gas Emission Reporting in preparation for a future Greenhouse Gas "Cap and Trade" regime.
Citizen complaints about odor need to be taken seriously to avoid negative publicity, regulatory orders and perhaps civil actions. LEHDER has developed a unique phased approach to odor investigations to ensure the problem is clearly understood; solutions are developed to address the root cause of the odorous emissions.
Too Much Data?
Industrial facilities are faced with the challenge of collecting, storing, managing and evaluating an immense amount of Environmental, Health and Safety data. LEHDER's Environmental Information Management Service (LEIMS) can assist facility personnel in managing their facility's data to turn it into effective information.
